In the image I am trying to convey and show who I am. It is a collection of some of the important things or moments that have happened to me. Firstly I included a picture of my cat, who is a very important thing in my life. Then I included pictures of some of my favorite trips I have gone on with my friends or family. I used a picture of a diner my family and I stopped at during a vacation to Canada, and then another picture of the city from Canada (Toronto) from a different vacation on the opposite side. In the bottom left I chose a picture from a trip to cedar point that I took with my best friends this summer. Above that is a picture from a trip to New York with my family. New York is special to me because my favorite uncle lives there and we don’t get to visit him much. Then lastly I included a picture of my dog, who is very special to me. In Photoshop I added the pictures, made them slightly transparent and erased lightly around each edge of the pictures, so that they would surround my selfie. So all of these pictures taken and put together, is in fact my life in rewind.
Double Exposure
In my double exposure pieces I am trying to convey the feeling of calmness with a hint of electricness. I think that the selfies are the calm part to the pieces, because the black and white creates the effect to me. And I think the background images give a sort of electric feeling. I took both of these photos in a busy city. The first one was in New York and was just a cool looking mural. The second one was in downtown Chicago. I felt like the lights down below gave the image a pop.
